About Katie Payer

Katie Payer is a big picture thinker and detailed do-er with extensive experience developing engaging programs, building content, and designing events in an innovative environment. She has nearly twenty years of leadership in event planning, marketing, communication, and program creation.

Katie owns Katie Payer Consulting, which provides clients with focused and high-quality strategy and execution in creating connective, thoughtful, and impactful programs to bring together mission-minded communities. Clients include Denver Health Foundation, the Colorado Tourism Office, Denver Public Schools Foundation, Warren Village, Kaiser Permanente, Emily Griffith Foundation, Denver Startup Week, Project Angel Heart, and Colorado’s Minority Business Office.

Previously, Katie was the Vice President of Communications at Young Americans Center for Financial Education, a non-profit focused on teaching young people the benefits of personal finance and entrepreneurship. She spent several years working for the Cleantech Open in various roles scaling the organization nationally and globally, and before that worked for the San Jose Sharks Media Relations team.

She is a founding Influencer for KIN Women, was recently the Chair of the Board of Directors for YouthRoots, and is an alumna of both Leadership Denver and Impact Denver, leadership programs offered by the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce.

Katie graduated from Santa Clara University with degrees in marketing and communication. She resides in Denver, Colorado with her husband, daughter, and son. Her favorite activities include voraciously reading, hiking in the Colorado mountains, building Legos with her children, and chasing more passport stamps via exciting travel.
